Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

For full research papers, submissions can be around 10,000 words; other types of papers, submissions should be around 6,000-8,000 words. (Abstract, display material and references are excluded from the word count.)

They all should be typed on letter layout, aligned to the left, with double-spaced 12-point font (*). As the theme, 'Cambria' is intended to be used, instead of i.e. 'Times New Roman'.

Your manuscript should include all, but author information; please submit your manuscript without author information. Your author information, including your abstract and keywords, should be submitted in a separate 1-page document.

Abstract: It should be narrative style with around 150 words, summarizing the purpose/originality of the paper, as well as methodology/findings.Keywords: Up to 6 keywords can be used.

Tables & Figures: Tables and Figures should be numbered with Arabic numbers, and should be labeled on above the table- and below the figure.

References: APA (American Psychological Association) Style

Others: BUBE uses American English spelling.(*) ExceptionsArticle title (20-point/centered)Section titles - First (14-point/bold) - Second (14-point/bold/italic) - Third (14-point/italic)

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
